Pre-Check and Pre-Test
|
Pre-checks are scheduled to ensure the actual installation conditions mirror those in the existing drawings. There are four basic objectives of the survey:
- Establish a working relationship with customers personnel, prime and subcontractors and third party organizations if necessary.
- Validate installation drawings reflect the "as-is" configuration.
- Identify cable routes and the availability of cable ways and bulkhead penetrators.
- Identify necessary stuffing tubes, hangars, cable penetrations, and hull penetrations, locations.

Installation

Installation of new cabling and connectorizaton commences as soon as AMETEK SCP Inc. is directed to start. The team coordinator will ensure that the installation team performs as much parallel work as is feasible given the location of equipment, interfering evolutions, and assigned personnel. He will ensure that installation components are inspected for damage or defects prior to on-load. A cable on-load plan will be used to optimize the order that cables are loaded aboard the platform. As cable runs are completed they will be visually inspected and electrically tested. Equipment will be connected to cabling. The installation plan will include in-process QC checks to ensure the installation meets all applicable QA requirements, and the high quality standards of AMETEK SCP Inc. Each installation package will include QA documentation such as completed Reentry Control Forms and QA inspection forms.

Post Installation Inspection

Inspection will begin as soon as feasible following cabling installation. The installation coordinator will conduct a post-installation visual inspection, which will bring a critical eye to the completeness and quality of the installation. This final inspection will include:
- The quality of cable runs including structural support banding and labeling
- Verification that equipment is properly grounded
- A check to verify that interferences have been properly reinstalled
- A check for the cosmetic appearance of the installation, such as final painting, cable terminations, proper banding, etc.

Installation Repairs

| Effective and responsive equipment repair requires people who understand the needs of the customer and who are committed to rapid response while consistently achieving the highest standards of quality. AMETEK SCP Inc. has been performing high quality repairs, which have proven critical to maintaining a high level of fleet operational readiness. Our experience has taught us that critical repair needs do not often follow regular working hours. Our management structure is such that we are able to respond whenever called upon, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. AMETEK SCP's team leaders will have the home phone numbers of our managers for after hour emergencies. If travel is necessary, our travel department is available around the clock. Our shipping department is on-call for rapid response. Around the clock availability of technicians and the entire spectrum of technical and administrative support is a unique feature of AMETEK SCP Inc. |
